To Europe and back...

Our trip to Europe was a trip we will never forget.
We had the most amazing time seeing places that we only dreamed about. Everywhere we looked we saw things that we wanted to remember and our 1,200 pictures prove it. We can't wait to return and make new memories! The people are beautiful, friendly, loud and passionate and we both said if we decide to move we know where we are going.

Day 1. (Barcelona, Spain)
We flew into Barcelona and took a bus to the boat where we dropped off our bags and went sight seeing right away. We only had a few hours in Barcelona, but what we saw we loved!
This was the only way to begin our trip after 15hrs. of traveling! It was my first requirement checked off my list.
Scooters are the primary choice of transportation and I loved looking at them lined along the streets.
"R" for Richelle
I found my sangria and I enjoyed it at a street side cafe.It was the second requirement checked off my list.

We enjoyed the architecture of the Gaudi buildings.
Day 2. (Nice, France)
We look a tender off the boat to Villa France where we explored the tiny town and continued by train to Nice and Monaco and the Monte Carlo Casino.
Our view from the tender boat.
We were so excited to start our day!
Villa France
I have my map and I am ready to go...
Everywhere we looked we were inspired to take pictures.
Ian loved taking pictures on this trip, I couldn't get the camera out of his hands.
Soaking in the beauty
I loved seeing our last name everywhere!
A square in Nice with a beautiful fountain.
It seems like all our pictures are of one or the other...hahah
My cute boy!
A Crepe, another thing to cross off my list....It was amazing!!!
Natalie asked me to take this picture she made on my trip to remember her. She also loves bread sticks so this pic is for her!
Day 3. (Genoa, Italy)
This day started off a little rainy, but cleared up.We spent the day roaming the cobblestone roads and alley walking paths. We ate spaghetti and enjoyed shopping in the local shops. I found a quaint toy store where I got Marley a beret and doll.

The rain made the streets glisten.

Walking in the rain was actually fun!
The lighting was perfect that day.

These were my favorite buildings..Grey,yellow,white and stripes!!!
Day 4. (Florence, Italy)
Our excursion began with a bus ride to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, then we continued to Florence for free time where we saw the Duomo and walked up the 414 steps to the top of the bell tower for a panoramic view of Florence! I also had a goal to buy an authentic leather handbag(I got 2 and a wallet).
"The Leaning Light post" in the parking lot of the Leaning Tower.
Loved this graffiti!
The baptistery in Pisa
The Cathedral and Leaning Tower in Pisa
Every single tourist was doing this so we had to join...
He hated that I made him do this!
Ian took this picture and I love it...
I love him, thanks for taking me on such an amazing trip!

On top of the Bell Tower( 414 steps to be exact) we could see the Duomo and all of Florence it was breathtaking!
Just a part of the view...
The perfect ending to a perfect day (and another must checked off my list).
This is a classic pic...
 Day 5. (Roma, Italy)
Our next port was in Roma where we would see the Trevi Fountain, Coliseum, Forum ruins, and really really old buildings that date back to Bible times. We just stood in awe of the fact that we were looking at places that Jesus and disciples could have looked at. We also got to go to Vatican City and see St. Peter's Basilica. Rome was a very busy city and though we loved the history it was a bit crazy for us.

Trevi fountain where we threw in our 3 coins for luck 1. to return to Roma 2nd. for Love 3rd. for marriage
A fruit cart outside of the forum. It was so beautiful the fruit looked fake!

Ian decided to carve his name into the Coliseum....ok, not really we found it already done!

Day 6. (Amalfi Coast & Pompeii)
This was one of the days I was most excited for, I had seen pictures of this amazing coast and also heard from many people about how beautiful it is. We had perfect sunny weather and it was a great day to marvel at God's beauty. We started off with a trip along the coast by bus with picture stops along the way. We had a hour stop in the town of Amalfi to shop or eat..... we shopped, ate their famous margarita pizza, drank wine, ate their popular pear a cheese dessert along with a cannoli all in an hour!!! We are the ultimate tourists and we had to do it all and our tour guide was very impressed. We then boarded the bus which took us to a hotel for lunch and then we continued to Pompeii to spend a few hours wondering the ruins.
The ocean was amazing!
My view from the bus.
I love the buildings built into the mountain!
Our view as we enjoyed margarita pizza and local desserts!!

This trip was a dream for Ian and I and we are truly blessed to have had such a wonderful experience together. We definitely want to return to Europe, but we are so happy that our first experience was one we will never forget!
Thank-you Ian for making my dream come true-xoxo
